Not happy...

It's almost midnight, and I'm just completing my tentative schedule, in anticipation that my OOT package will arrive only 24 hours late. I am extremely dissappointed that it did not arrive today, and will be devestated if it fails to arrive tomorrow. FedEx has told me repeatedly that there is no missing information, and that its simply customs that is holding up the shipment due to an excessive amount of packages. Not sure if this is true or not, but its all I have to go on, considering at 11:00 PM EST Thursday, my package was still in Newark, New Jersey. I sincerely hope the festival will at least consider extending the deadline for the advance draw by at least a day, so all of the dedicated and devoted fans that have sponsored the festival with their business over the years, get a chance at the tickets they've been yearning for. Lets see how things develop tomorrow.

Long story, but we got our out of town package this evening at around 9:30 p.m. It had indeed been opened up by customs at Newark.

And the highlighters were missing.

Why does US Customs want a pair of yellow and green highlighters?

Here's hoping your package gets delivered on Thursday.

On the questionnaire I filled out when ordering the Out of Town package, it mentioned they were piloting an online ticket selection program. Did anyone get selected to participate in the pilot? It would certainly help those of us ordering from out of the country, and continually at the whims of customs.

Speaking of highlighters...I received my package early this morning. It hadn't been opened by customs, but the highlighter was not included. Perhaps the TIFF staff didn't include the highlighters for the out-of-towners this year. (Although it does mention a highlighter on the FedEx invoice.)

After all of yesterday's sturm und drang, I just checked the tracking number of my return package, and it's in the system with an ETA of noon tomorrow. So, now I can exhale.
